STAGES OF GRIEF falls apart. It's a play about a sketch show by amateurs who have taken classes at Second City who have a LOT to say. They are, unfortunately, too clumsy to say it. An understudy steps in last minute due to an accident, and though things start off okay, mistakes, mishaps, and missed cues pile up—until cast members are trapped under props, tempers flare, and the whole operation threatens to burst at the seams. It’s a satire of clumsy comedy and the way we talk about the Trump era. It is very stupid and very fun.

STAGES OF GRIEF was originally performed at Second City’s Blackout Cabaret in the Summer of 2018 to a sold out run.
